I’m a huge supporter of the idea that there should be an intent behind a photograph, in fact I went to far as to write a book about it. So when I see an example of a photo project that has a clear intent, and really delivers on it, I like to highlight it.
Today I came across “Weapon of Choice“, by Rich Johnson (twitter) a photo project designed to show the impact of verbal abuse. It’s hard hitting images create a visceral reaction (at least for me) showing just how much pain and hurt can be caused by name calling.
The world needs more photos like this. Photos that educate the viewer about the reality of an important subject.
